Optimized for operation with Danotek’s High Efficiency Permanent Magnet Generators

Danotek has designed and developed a range of low- and medium- voltage Full Power Converters which enables our PM generators to operate seamlessly with the connected grid system or in islanding mode. Optimized power modules with full IGBT based bi-directional power flow, DSP based dynamics control for maximum output, and multiple levels of protection are packaged into a flexible enclosure design that can accommodate specific customer requirements. All converter units contain: reliability; safety and protection; energy/power management control; and monitoring, data logging and communications. Converter modules can be operated in parallel to provide continued operation in the event of a fault in one of the parallel paths and are rated to match generator power outputs up to 8MW. Danotek’s converters are based on standard, highly compact, liquid-cooled power modules with optimized bus structures that minimize inductance, with flexible vibration-proof enclosures that can accommodate specific customer requirements.

    Each converter system features:
  • Full 3-phase, liquid cooled IGBT bridges
  • Grid-side circuit breaker
  • Embedded DSP controllers with real time communications
  • Multiple protective functions
  • I/O interface with full access to critical parameters such as internal temperatures of both converter and generator
  • Advanced control features to enable LVRT capability, FRT, anti-islanding detection, and generator monitoring and PPT optimization
  • Diagnostics
  • Stainless steel components throughout the cooling circuits
