Danotek Announces Leadership Transition

Canton, MI (May 23, 2009) – Danotek Motion Technologies, a clean energy innovation company, named Donald Naab President and Chief Executive Officer. Founding CEO Daniel Gizaw will transition to Chief Technical Officer – Founder and remain on the Board of Directors.

Donald Naab will join Danotek on May 20, 2010 and oversee the daily operations of the company. He most recently served as group president at Broadwind Energy. Prior to Broadwind, Naab served as president of Smiths Interconnect, a specialized electronics manufacturer within Smith Group. Throughout his career Naab also has held several executive and leadership positions in the wind, aerospace and wireless telecommunications industries.

Daniel Gizaw founded Danotek in 2001 to drive innovation in energy efficient technology for alternative energy and advanced transportation. During this time Gizaw and other key founding members built the technical expertise, manufacturing systems and financial support to strategically position Danotek for growth. Prior to Danotek, Gizaw served in a variety of technical leadership positions with such companies as General Electric, Cummins Power Generation, General Motors and Ford Motor Company. Gizaw along with the other founder’s innovative work and engineering expertise in electromagnetics and power electronics has led to more than 100 disclosures and patents in their names.

As Founder and CTO Gizaw will be responsible for leading Danotek’s innovation strategy, ensuring the company remains on the cutting edge of advanced technology and driving development and production of permanent magnet generators and other key components. Gizaw will also be the company’s lead technology voice with customers.
